Election of Trustees

Notice is hereby given that a Ngāti Whakaue Registered Voting Hui will be held to elect Representative Trustees on Te Komiti Nui o Ngāti Whakaue Trust (TKN).

Tuesday 11 November 2025, 5:30pm

Whakaue Marae, Maketū

One (1) representative for Maketū and the sea and coastal interests of Ngāti Whakaue.

Wednesday 12 November 2025, 5:30pm

Hurungaterangi Marae, Ngāpuna

Two (2) representatives for the East/South East interests.

Saturday 15 November 2025, 10:00am

Te Papaiōuru Marae, Ōhinemutu

One (1) representative for the Horohoro West/Sth West interest.

Saturday 15 November 2025, 11:00am

Te Papaiōuru Marae, Ōhinemutu

Six (6) Koromātua representatives for the Central interests.

Nominations:

• The current trustees are eligible for re-election for a consecutive term and do not require re-nomination.
• Nominators and nominees must be Ngāti Whakaue adults aged 18 years or older registered on the Returning Officers attendance register as at the date of the applicable Voting Hui.
• Whakapapa to the koromātua hapū of Ngāti Whakaue is mandatory for nominators and nominees.
• Nominees are required to attend the Ngāti Whakaue Registered Voting Hui at which their election is held.
