Read more →Correspondence has been received from the Heritage NZ Pouhere Tonga office advising that the Maori Heritage Council are considering a proposal to enter St Faiths Anglican Church on the NZ Heritage List as a wahi tupuna. A notice will go into the Rotorua Daily Post on Wednesday 11 January 2017, requesting submissions on the proposal requesting letters for / or against the proposal through to 10 Feb 2017.

The ‘pause’ in negotiations followed a special general meeting in September, where Ngati Whakaue voted to reject the Crowns position for settlement with Ngati Whakaue.
